Neum corridor
Your route passes through a short strip of Bosnia-Herzegovina (Neum) if taking the coastal road south of Split. Bosnia has no EU roaming — check your mobile plan. The Pelješac Bridge (opened 2022) bypasses this entirely — recommended.

Ljubljana → Split, Croatia (coastal entry via Pag bridge)
Cross into Croatia at Bregana. A1 south to Zadar then down to Split. Consider the Pag bridge and Zadar old town for a break. Overnight Split — spectacular setting, bike secure in Old Town car park.

Diocletian's Palace, harbour, excellent food. Optional day ride to Trogir (27 km, UNESCO site) or up into the Dalmatian hinterland. Easy day.

D8 coastal road south — one of the most scenic motorcycle roads in Europe. Use the Pelješac Bridge to avoid the Bosnia/Neum crossing. Arrive Dubrovnik early afternoon. Coastal road — allow extra time, worth every km
